For twenty years Ikki Mitsuhashi photographed what came into his studio — a stem, a fruit, a vessel — against a bare wall, and waited for the light to say something. The prints were sold quietly through Tokyo galleries. This is their first home online: archival editions, numbered in continuity with his own ledger, printed to order in Tokyo.
