Three leaves open from a single low point, and at their centre a green fruit rests on the ground rather than above it.
It is the same subject as The Source of Life, photographed again — but here nothing is lifted. There is no column, no vessel, no height. The leaves lie almost flat, dark enough to read as weight, and the fruit sits in the shallow bowl they make between them. What was held up in the other picture is, in this one, simply kept.
Protection does not always look like strength. Sometimes it looks like staying low, spreading wide, and asking nothing of the thing you are covering.
