Each print is centred on the sheet with a fixed side margin, and a deeper lower margin reserved for the signature and edition number. M and XL match the two sizes the artist printed himself and continue his original edition numbers; S and L are new editions of 50 beginning at no. 1.

A single leaf stands upright, and a flower spike lies along it — pink buds in a close row, tipped toward the ground.

The leaf is doing nothing remarkable. It is broad, plain, and green, and it does not lean or curl to make itself more interesting. What it does is stay where it is while something heavier and prettier rests against it.

Most of what holds us up is like this. It is not the part anyone photographs. It is simply there, upright, for as long as it takes.
